We are now taking Proposals and Registrations for the new season. Please can ALL teams confirm registration whether you have been in the League since it was created or not.
The deadline for all Registrations and Proposals is 3rd June 2019 in order for Proposals to be reviewed and collated for the AGM on 1 July 2019.
The Semi Finals and Finals schedule will be updated and email as and when draws are done and are here: Semi Finals and Finals
This will be adhered to where possible, if you have any issues with any of these dates please make sure you notify Nathan Wilby so we can try to ensure everything runs smoothly.
RESULTS & MATCH SHEETS
Results - Please remember that following the AGM the process for results and match sheets has now changed. BOTH teams are responsible for ensuring they send a copy of the match sheet through following each match by 11pm THURSDAY. Results are not accepted without the match sheet. ANY team who does not send through a copy of the sheet WILL lose 2 points.
Sheets are acceptable be way of Picture Message, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger to the Birstall District Pool League "person" on Facebook - if you are not already a "friend" please send a request and of course by email.
There have been a few separate reports in recent times to the Committee about teams arriving at away venues and not respecting the rules of the venue/landlord. Can we please remind all teams that when you go to play away, the rules of the venue are there to be adhered to i.e. if there are signs re No Swearing, please try to calm your language and respect other customers, likewise if there are any signs regarding the use of illegal substances, please do not do it on their premises (ideally don't do it anywhere regardless of if there are signs or not!!).
All matches are to be played in a sporting manner in accordance with Rule 33 of the BDPL rules and this covers all aspects of the night from the way you treat your opposing players, other customers, the bar staff, landlord and venue as a whole.
Any incidents which are reported to the Committee will be investigated and any evidence of wrongdoing will result in action being taken by the Committee including expulsion from the league.
